Letter from the CEO
What drives us
When we founded DCE academy in 2007, we had a clear goal: to systematically improve the quality of data center planning, construction, and operation through sound training. This mission still drives us today.
Data centers are critical infrastructure, where compromises are not only costly but also carry risk. Our values – methodical precision, vendor-neutral objectivity, and practical applicability – are reflected in every aspect of our training.
What sets us apart: Our trainers are not pure theorists but practitioners: they acquired and applied their expertise in their own data center projects, and some of our trainers take part in the standardization work on EN 50600. As the exclusive sponsor of the ISO/IEC 22237 working group, we are informed about every meeting of the standards committee; changes are incorporated into our seminars, often months before publication.
We do not measure our success by the number of seminars we hold, but by what our participants achieve with what they have learned in their own work. Systematically teaching sound knowledge that can be applied directly and leads to verifiable qualifications – that is the standard we set for every single seminar.
We train to the European standards that are becoming the global norm. Our vision is that professionals in Germany and across Europe plan, build, and operate data centers to this common benchmark and can demonstrate that they do.
Kind regards,
Thomas Wawra

Principles
What we stand for
Vendor-neutral
DCE academy sells no products and represents no manufacturer. Its sole aim is to share knowledge and train people well, with experts who know their subject from ongoing projects. No products are sold in the seminars.
Trainers with real project experience
DCE academy trainers acquired and applied their knowledge in their own data center projects. Every topic is explained by someone who knows it from their own projects.
Standardization work first-hand
DCE academy is the exclusive sponsor of the ISO/IEC 22237 working group and is informed about every meeting of the standards committee. DCE academy trainers take part in the standardization work on EN 50600. This means you learn about changes before they take effect.
Proof, not promises
Every seminar ends with an exam. If you pass, you receive a certificate that can be verified publicly; clients and auditors can assess it without further questions.
